In a recent meeting between LSPedia's CEO, Riya Cao, and a stakeholder from a major online pharmacy company, the secret behind the company’s lightning-speed prescription delivery was unveiled, and it involves cutting-edge technology and world-class product traceability from LSPedia.
Product tracing isn't just an operational boon; it's a requirement under the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), enacted in 2013 to fortify the security of the pharmaceutical supply chain. The company diligently adheres to these regulations.
The introduction of a small format brick and mortar pharmacy alongside online services allows the pharmacy company to serve customers both physically and through drone delivery. Behind the scenes, a sophisticated calculation manages sourcing availability, delivery days, reorder points, and compliance with DSCSA. LSPedia's data, coupled with the company’s systems, forms a powerful engine that orchestrates procurement and dispensing activities seamlessly.
“Our main goal is to make sure that as we continue to grow and service customers, we are providing a legitimate supply chain of medication from our manufacturers, as well as our wholesale partners, to our end users. In 2021, the company replaced its legacy traceability solution with LSPedia's OneScan. The results were remarkable. Rapidly scaling exceptions management became imperative, especially with the FDA's DSCSA stabilization policy mandating “complete and accurate” transaction data.
Implementing Investigator in LSPedia’s secure Supply Chain Cloud played a crucial role for the company. The Supply Chain Cloud validates master location data, master product data, EPCIS data exchange and automated error notifications and resolutions.
