We were thrilled to exhibit at this year's McKesson ideaShare, one of the nation’s top independent pharmacy events. This event helps independent pharmacists connect with one another and share ideas to find innovative solutions to industry challenges. We met with so many dedicated professionals and helped them address their DSCSA challenges, such as outdated supply chain processes and managing data and serialization within their organization. With the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requirements posing significant hurdles for some, we were excited to demonstrate how our OneScan Pharmacy Pro solution can streamline compliance and ensure patient safety.
At our booth, we showcased the capabilities of OneScan, the industry-leading DSCSA compliance and global track-and-trace solution for the healthcare industry. OneScan helps pharmacies easily comply with DSCSA requirements by tracking the entire journey of prescription drugs from manufacturer to patient. It simplifies the onboarding of necessary data, integrates smoothly with existing systems, and provides secure storage for product information. This ensures that pharmacies can efficiently manage their supply chain, prepare for regulatory changes, and maintain accurate records, making OneScan an ideal solution for meeting the new requirements coming this November.
One of the highlights was Scott Mooney's presentation on DSCSA implementation for dispensers. He explained that while small dispensers have additional time before enforcement begins, the rest of the supply chain must be ready and have a plan in place by November. Scott emphasized the importance of preparing for challenges with product returns, especially for 340b pharmacies. Having a plan is necessary since only the covered entity has the ability to return products.
Throughout the event, we had engaging discussions with many pharmacists who were eager to learn and share ideas about improving their practices. It was inspiring to hear their stories and see their commitment to enhancing patient care and adapting to upcoming regulatory changes. Way to go McKesson for organizing and hosting this wonderful event!
