LSPedia Powers Bahrain’s National Track-and-Trace System with L-5 Innovation

In December 2024, LSPedia achieved a significant milestone by collaborating with the Kingdom of Bahrain's National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) to implement the OneScan-SmartPass system as the nation's Level 5 (L-5) data repository for pharmaceutical product traceability. This partnership aims to enhance Bahrain's healthcare supply chain by providing comprehensive oversight of pharmaceuticals from importation to patient delivery, thereby preventing counterfeit and unauthorized products from entering the market. The launch marked a pivotal advancement in Bahrain's journey toward achieving full nationwide track-and-trace capabilities. 

TheOneScan-SmartPass system, developed in collaboration with Medical Value Chain(MVC), integrates OneScan, LSPedia's proven compliance and traceability platform, with MVC's blockchain-powered SmartPass platform. This innovative solution leverages dual immutable distributed ledger technology to ensure real-time data sharing and regulatory compliance, thereby enhancing patient safety and supply chain security. By adopting this L-5 solution, Bahrain is setting a new standard for supply chain transparency and pharmaceutical security in the region.

This initiative is part of LSPedia's broader global expansion strategy, which includes the opening of a new office in Hyderabad, India, in January 2025. The Hyderabad office is strategically positioned to support customers in Bahrain, among other regions, by providing localized service and around-the-clock support.
