EU Food & Tobacco

The European Union's General Food Law Regulation includes stringent traceability and transparency requirements, including rules for identifying exporters and suppliers, providing accurate information to consumers, and withdrawing food and feed from the market. Separately, the Tobacco Products Directive mandates track-and-trace measures throughout the EU to prevent the sale of unauthorized or illicit tobacco-related goods, in addition to requirements that govern health warnings, ingredient reporting, legal notifications, and other aspects.
