Attending the Vizient Connections Summit in Las Vegas was an incredible experience for our team. With over 4,000 healthcare leaders gathered in one place, it provided us with a unique opportunity to connect with peers and explore the latest trends shaping the future of DSCSA compliance for healthcare systems. The summit emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in our field, and we left feeling inspired with new insights to help drive progress across the industry.
We had some particularly insightful conversations around healthcare compliance and supply chain solutions during our time at the summit. These discussions reinforced the importance of staying ahead of the curve and working together to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry. A key topic that came up in many of our conversations was the fast-approaching November 27, 2024, deadline for full compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA). Attendees were keenly aware of the challenges this deadline presents, and the conversations made it clear that organizations are focused on ensuring their systems are ready for the new requirements, from serialization to traceability.
As we engaged in these discussions, we were able to highlight how OneScan supports companies through this evolution. Many leaders expressed concerns about how to streamline compliance without burdening their teams, and we were proud to share how OneScan simplifies the entire process. Its secure, cloud-based system integrates effortlessly with any ERP or pharmacy or warehouse-management software, allowing for seamless onboarding of EPCIS data and real-time tracking. Our automated processes reduce the administrative burden by providing a complete audit trail and flagging any discrepancies, ensuring that operations are not only compliant but also more efficient and secure.
The urgency surrounding the DSCSA deadline added weight to these conversations, and it was clear that ensuring compliance while ensuring uninterrupted access to life-saving drugs is a top priority for everyone. OneScan’s ability to improve operations, protect against counterfeit, diverted or recalled products, and provide peace of mind in terms of regulatory readiness was a common thread in our interactions. We left the summit energized and excited to continue helping our partners get fully prepared for the November deadline and beyond.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s Summit, where we’ll continue building on the connections and insights we gained this year. The future of healthcare is bright, and we are honored to be a part of its ongoing transformation!
